I broke down and purchased two flex a lite fans 3000 cfm 16 and mounted them in my newly custom built shroud.

That in reality isn t a bad thing because now i know the fans are working. The revolutionary patent pending flex wave electric fan from flex a lite has greater airflow is more efficient and is quieter than traditional s blade and straight blade designs. Trying to take shortcuts and attempting to pull the old fan off the old motor and you will risk breaking the plastic bracket system that the electric motor mounts to. Can be used as an auxiliary or primary cooling.

After some research the flex a lite seemed like a good fit and i was comforted to know that it was an american made product. A powerful electric motor helps this fan move an impressive 2 500 cfm of airflow. The 16 syclone works well. I wasn t sold on the wavy fan design being quieter or pulling 20 more air but they work.

My only complaint but not really a complaint was the flex a lite is considerably louder than the no name fan. It is whisper quite but does draw about 17 amps off the power system. According to flex a lite tech support they recommend cutting the fan off with a dremel tool and reinstalling the electric motor and fan blade as a kit.
